Don't you hate it when people post obnoxious text at the top of their blog and you have to scroll past it every time you want to read what they've posted? Man, I really hate that.

Weather outside = frightful. Fire = mildly delightful

I was away from home this weekend, in the -field of Shef (Sheffield, if you will) at the place I did my gapyear last year for the reunion weekend of all past teams from over the years. A few people I would've liked to see didn't turn up but overall it was a great weekend.

Then this morning it started snowing, and then it kept snowing. As some may know, England isn't used to weather any stronger than a mild breeze, and the four or five inches of snow that fell today has more or less...

Mouse = Fail

Posted 12-07-2009 at 10:20 AM by Splat
Updated 12-07-2009 at 10:23 AM by Splat
The wheel of my mouse is broken, so when I spin it down or up, it just jumps about randomly. This basically renders it useless, not to mention horrifically confusing whenever I use it without thinking.

This is particularly annoying as everything else on the mouse is working, including the mouse wheel button, so I don't feel justified buying a new one, especially as I just had to buy some new earphones cus my old pair broke (why is it always the left one that breaks first?), plus I've...

Updated 04-23-2010 at 04:48 PM by Splat
Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to another public service announcement, courtesy of Splat's Productions. The topic of our discussion tonight is the top ten ways to murder a thread. You know that sometimes there are threads you just want to see crash and burn, and this blog aims to give you some ideas as to how.

10. Convince a noob to join the discussion.
This should divert everyone's attention to flaming the noob, even after the noob has been gone from the forum...

Courgette of POWAR!!!

A courgette, (AKA. Zucchini, for all those who live in a country where they don't speak or teach English English) is a vegetable that I can't say I'm particularly fond of.

When my mum cooks it as a vegetable to go in the typical English meal formula (Potato product + Vegetable or salad + Some form of meat product) it just sort of sits on the edge of my plate, all limp and slimy, clinging feebly to the insides of its skin like an old person trying to conceal his nakedness with a face...

Why does YouTube keep giving me adverts for homosexual dating websites?
(No, I'm not posting a link.)

*Sigh* Guess I better cut down on Potter Puppet Pals and Charlie the Unicorn.

Growing up with George W. Bush

Posted 03-20-2009 at 03:59 AM by Splat
Ok, so I'm several months too late for criticising George Bush, but sometimes you can't resist.

'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' is one of the best-selling childrens' books for all time.
In fact it's one of the best selling books of all time.

It's been adapted to over fifty languages, had hundreds of TV adaptions and according to rumour, its movie rights have been sold for 1,000,000.
It teaches children about the life-cycle of the butterfly, about counting (up...

The Manwich (essential that all Men of OWF read this)

Updated 07-05-2011 at 05:12 PM by Splat
The Manwich is a vital part of male culture, representing manliness in its truest form. During my recent perusal of Oddworld forums, I have discovered that there was some terrible misinformation as to the nature and properties of the Manwich, including the falicious and downright dangerous belief that this is an accurate representation of the Manwich.
I have therefore taken upon myself the task of correcting certain mistaken points of view and demonstrating to the men of OWF the true nature...
