Flying Scrab managed to get out of the cave… Wow, so impressive (10)
Exclamation 2 reviews for Stranger's Wrath!

I got an issue of XBN (Xbox nation) yesterday and it had a review of SW! This one doesn't go into much detail but it does have some interesting things like the fact that you can "shake off" damage as long as you have the stamina. You must be stationary to do this, not unlike The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. It names another bad guy called The Looten Duke, and It also says most boss fights are very complex, rather than just "shooting them until they die".

The final score is 9.0 out of 10
_________________________________________________________________

I also got an issue if OXM (Official Xbox Magazine) and the review gets more in-depth on the live ammo and how some enemies are immune to some kinds of ammo. It has a little pros, cons, and preplexing section which is as follows:

+ Wonderful aesthetics, highly polished visuals, and funny, funny, FUNNY humor.

+ Live ammo and well-implemented FPS gameplay.

+ Characters and storyline are as engaging as ever

- Gets off to a really slow start

- Impatient gamers may get frustrated with the trial-and-error boss battles, but most will enjoy the challenge

? How is a guy supposed to come up with 20,000 bones in Oddworld? It's a world in deep, cheap-skate recession!

The final score is 8.7 out of 10

Bones? I have no idea what they're talking about. Anyone know? The magazine also comes with a demo disc with videos of the SW's intro, and a really cool trailer with awesome music, which has a few scenes of Stranger using Zappflies to make huge boxes fall on enemies which was really funny. I can't wait to play this!

That's great work Flying Scrab!

An 9.0 out of 10 is very good score.

Are there any new sreenshots?

I guess 20,000 bones mean 20,000 molaah. Stranger has to collect 20,000m (there should be a sign for moolah you can use )

Okay, it's been said before.
"Bones" is a slang term in America which means "Money" or "Currency."

Anyway, good news.

The earlier screenshots must have been misleading, because these mags seem to love the graphics, while I thought they were shit.

Meh.

I'm waiting on EGM (the only decent gaming mag, in my opinion) to give their take on it. If it's good, I might consider renting it.

Don't get me wrong. I want this game to be good. After MO, I want this game to be GREAT.

Every magazine adores the graphics, while half the people who have played the leaked version think they're mearly alright. Makes you wonder, but on the other hand, graphics of the technical variety aren't what appeal the most to me, it's the artistic and design quality.

I hope we're not going to have another Driv3r here. EA does have big pockets after all.

Nice find, Stranger. There's already a post on this, so I've merged it. If you're willing to provide the text, though, I'm sure we'll appreciate it rather than squinting at the scans.

Driv3r got great reviews from all the early mags and websites so everyone went out and bought it, only to find it was a great big steaming pile of shite. Thus fueling rumours of corruption in the reviewing press.
