Munch is on the 360.

An update for backwards compatibility came out today. Munch is officially playable on the 360, still no Stranger.

Another title probably worth mentioning is Panzer Dragoon Orta also made its way to the 360. Cheers.

If Munch went to PS3, it would resort to many Oddworld fans paying a bomb for a PS3. We'll never get a Sony Munch.
This is great news! But if only I had a 360. Maybe I'll get one some day.

You can download the cd images of the updates via the official xbox website.

Also, Munch's Oddysee runs like crap on my X-Box 360, the sounds are distorted, echoy, and the voices are insanely quiet. But other than that, a very nice update.

Yay, I can finally play Munch's Oddysee again! Since my normal XBOX broke...but ah well, I can get the new update!

Same problem here, I just tried it out myself.
The FMV played just fine, but when the game started I couldn't hear Abe/Shaman/Native Muds talk.
Nothing I do makes any sounds, the story stones are pretty quiet too yet louder then Abe talking.
Sometimes the background music pops up at a decent volume.

Still this is so stupid, how hard is it to make the game sound the same?

I'm in The Netherlands, and I can load MO just fine, but like it's been said, no voices and stuff, only the echoes.

Couldn't they just make it backwards compatible in well nigh the same way as the PS2 was? What's the point in all this 'only certain games' BS and S'MO BS I've been hearing about the damn 360?

I'm worried about what console another Oddworld game would come out on, particularly since I was interested in the Wii, and it's hardly like I'd EVER be able to get a 360 as well. But well, both together is cheaper than the bloody PS3, so screw that thing.

They still could be for the PC. Nowadays some of the PCs are strong enough to run graphics like/better than an Xbox. So I'll just get the next game for PC if it's out on PC. But if it's only out on 360 I'll get a 360 just for that game. That's what I did for MO and SW.

I think the main problem would be that the Wii doesn't really have a gamepad, and while the Wiimote is good, not all genres of games could really work so well on it. I couldn't see myself palying an Oddworld game on it, unless maybe with a GC remote...but I doubt a game like that would ever be released, unless it came with a cool custom GC remote...

DO IT OWI, DO IT. If it's multiplatform, at the very least...otherwise, gimme a free Xbox 360.

Aha, that's where you're slightly wrong. Have you ever heard of the Wii classic controller? It plugs into a Wii remote and works like a normal controller. It may be of use to some games in the future that don't have Wii remote connectibility. Also, with Super Smash Bros Brawl coming up, players are required to use a GCN controller. So Citizen Siege has as much chance being on a Wii than being on any other console.

XBox emulators are very buggy, they run slow and there are lots of problems with CD loading. And they only support certain games.

I'm in college (I met in my dorm room at school-university). My original Xbox (I got Munch's Oddysee, Halo and Xbox the day they came out originally) is at home and I have my 360 with me and have had Munch's Oddysee with me here the whole year and I'm glad I brought it because I just played it now for the first time in like 2 years.
